Kohaku Tendon is proud to launch its brand-new winter-themed tendon, Winter Ocean Treasures! Succeeding “Ocean Gems” which was released in 2017, this new tendon is the first to feature the monkfish liver. Monkfish is a popular fish during winter in Japan, and its liver is often compared to foie gras. Soft, creamy and extremely rich in flavour, this delicacy is now uniquely presented in tempura form!

Tendon lovers, rejoice! Kohaku Tendon is proud to launch its brand-new winter-themed tendon, Winter Ocean Treasures! Succeeding “Ocean Gems” which was released in 2017, this new tendon is the first to feature the monkfish liver. Monkfish is a popular fish during winter in Japan, and its liver is often compared to foie gras. Soft, creamy and extremely rich in flavour, this delicacy is now uniquely presented in tempura form!

The tendon will also offer other treasures, including snow crab leg, prawn, dory fish, squid, Japanese fishcake with cod roe and king crab stick. Boasting a delightfully sweet note, the tasty hunks of snow crab legs are specially imported from Alaska. Harvested from the icy cold waters of Bering Sea during winter, the Alaskan snow crab legs are packed full with delicious juicy meat.

 All the ingredients are first coated with the highly popular aonori (dried seaweed) tempura batter, then deep-fried to golden-brown perfection. Each tempura boasts an ethereal and crispy exterior, as it is fried in a blend of high-grade sesame oil and cooking oil. The exquisite bowl is then topped with juicy and glistening globes of ikura, which are processed in Hokkaido. Fresh, salty and rich, the roe adds a refreshing lift to the bowl of ingredients!  

The Winter Ocean Treasures will be available for 3 months from 3 December 2018 onwards, and it will be priced at S$21++.
